WHITE COURTESAN

Pai Mu Tan, an exceptional white tea, finds its origins in the mystical mists that envelop the Fujian mountains, where cultivating peoples have for centuries perfected the art of revealing the purity of buds and first leaves. Its name means “White Peony,” an evocation of its floral notes and a reference to a beautiful courtesan who, through a few stratagems, was able to draw the Yang of an immortal man. In villages nestled in the hollows of the mountains, it is not uncommon for this tea to be prepared during ceremonies intended to honor the spirits of ancestors. Families gather around small wooden tables, where the tea is infused with respect and gratitude. Rich in antioxidant polyphenols, Pai Mu Tan is said to reduce the storage of fat in the body (adipogenesis) and promote its elimination (lipolysis).

The ingredients: White tea from Fujian (China), just withered and dried. Low in caffeine. Organically grown.

Preparation:2 tablespoons / 50 cl. of water brought to 75°. Let infuse for 8 min.

Use : Throughout the day and evening (because it is low in caffeine). Also delicious iced.
