Here is the return of one of our favorite infusions, this time sourced from the Ukrainian Carpathian Mountains.
IVAN CHAI - Natural fermented fireweed infusion. Fireweed is common throughout boreal Asia. Its use as a fermented drink has its roots in ancient Ural tribes, then became a staple for all Slavs, including Ukrainians from the Carpathians. Ivan Chai means "Ivan's tea," a common name, making it essentially everyone's tea, particularly for those looking to manage their weight and aid digestion. The leaves are wild-harvested in the mountains. They are crushed to release their juice, allowing fermentation to begin in an airtight environment. They are then placed for at least 3 days in dryers where, at a stable and moderate temperature, fermentation stops, and the leaves blacken. When brewed, you'll enjoy notes of light honey, ripe fruit, and a hint of herbaceousness, with a gently floral finish.

J’adore cette infusion, et pourtant je suis plutôt difficile quand il s’agit d’arômes de thés et d’infusions. Mais je crois que j’ai compris pourquoi : Tea Tribes ne fait pas de chichis. On est sur l’authenticité, le goût vrai, et c’est exactement ce que je recherche. 🌿

En tant que Sud-Africaine, je suis assez exigeante quand il s’agit de rooibos… et je dois dire que celui de Tea Tribes est l’un des meilleurs que j’ai goûtés ! 🌿✨
Il est rond, doux, presque vanillé, avec cette profondeur si caractéristique du vrai bon rooibos. Je l’apprécie particulièrement avec une touche de miel et un nuage de lait — c’est réconfortant et gourmand, exactement comme j’aime. 🫶
Un vrai voyage sensoriel, qui me rappelle chez moi tout en ayant cette petite signature Tea Tribes. Une valeur sûre dans ma collection de thés !
✨ Nous avons découvert Tea Tribes totalement par hasard lors de notre séjour à Paris… et quelle belle surprise !
Cette infusion est une vraie pépite : si vous aimez le goût de l’Ovomaltine, vous allez adorer. On retrouve des notes uniques de noisette torréfiée, d’umami et de chocolat.
À mon avis, cette infusion se déguste nature, sans miel ni sucre — il faut vraiment la laisser infuser pour révéler toute sa rondeur. (Petit tip : avec un carré de chocolat, c’est un délice 😍).
Personnellement, je suis conquise et je n’hésiterai pas à repasser commande ! 🌿
